Core Responsibilities

The Accountant will work with the CEO and participate in the entire accounting process.

 

Responsibilities and activities will include:

• Setting up accounting software

• Preparing annual budgets, various accounting procedures and federal and state filing

• Create and maintain donor database

• Special projects as necessary

 

Recommended skills and qualifications include:

• Degree in Accounting, 2-4 years practical work experience with non-profit organizations.

• Working knowledge of QuickBooks.

• Experience with donor management, grant reporting, budgeting, 990 preparation etc.

 

We expect the volunteers to commit for 5 - 6 months and spend about 2 - 3 hours of their time each week.
